CIRCUMSTANCES

  • Mr. Shurtz left his residence in Fillmore, Utah on November 26, 2005 driving a green 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck with Utah license plates numbered 334YFZ. He was seen later that day in Millard County and was also issued a citation for driving the wrong direction on the freeway.

  • On or about, November 28th, 2005, witnesses spotted his vehicle off the Ute Exit 80 of I-15 in the Valley of Fire State Park, near Las Vegas Nevada.

  • The witnesses saw a person with the vehicle but could not recall an exact description of the person they saw.

  • On December 1, 2005, Mr. Shurtz's vehicle was located in the same area off Interstate 15 in the Valley of Fire State Park, near Las Vegas, Nevada but there was no sign of him at the scene.

  • Mr Shurtz may have accepted a ride from someone.

  • May go by his middle name of Dean

  • Authorities believe Shurtz may be in Escalante, Utah; Boulder, Utah; or Arizona.

  • His case remains unsolved.

  • He resided in Cedar City, Utah in 2005; that city's police are investigating his disappearance.
