El Dorado Jane Doe has been identified.

“El Dorado Jane Doe”

On July 10, 1991, a young female was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in room 121 of the Whitehall Motel in El Dorado, Arkansas. Some people at the scene where she was found deceased called her, Mercedes. Then there were the names, Kelly Carr, Shannon Wiley, and the ID found at the scene of the crime bearing the name, Cheryl Ann Wick.

She used so many identities throughout her young life that her true identity stumped investigators for decades. It wasn’t until January 2019, that a break in the case appeared through genealogical identification. A second cousin match to Eldorado Jane Doe was identified.

Although, it was possible to trace her genetic lineage, El Dorado Jane Doe’s real identity remains a mystery.

Because of EL Dorado Jane Doe and thousands of others who remain missing, unidentified, or unclaimed, we are inspired in making it our mission to be part of the search for the missing link.

We Believe

  • No person should go missing unreported, or pass away and left unclaimed or unidentified.

  • Our hopes are to provide publicity for the missing, the unidentified and the unclaimed.

  • No matter their circumstances, background, race, ethnicity or citizenship.
