CIRCUMSTANCES OF DISAPPEARANCE

Michael Delaney, 49, was reported missing to the Davenport Police Department on July 3, 2008
Micheal Delaney had recently purchased a 2000 and 2004 white extended-cab Chevrolet Silverado 4-wheel drive pick-up truck. The model “Z-71” is on the side of the box.
Michael was not able to legally register a vehicle in his name and the plates on the truck did not belong to the truck
Micheal Delaney and his Chevy truck have not been seen since.
Delaney’s disappearance as is stated by Law Enforcement to be “very suspicious” as he lived with his 17-year-old daughter and was in constant communication with her.
July 23, 2008, Davenport police named a 53 year male, named Mark Edward Handlon as “person of interest” in Mark Delaney’s case. Mark Handlon,was wanted on warrants by both the Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline, Ill., police departments.
Officials suspected Handlon of taking a white 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck from a Bettendorf car dealership in June 2008 and not returning it.
It is also alleged that Mark Handlon had stolen money from a restaurant in Moline.
September 4, 2008, Henry County, Ill. officials arrested Mark Handon and charged him with Burglary. Handlon was sentenced to 12-years in the Illinois Department of Correction’s Shawnee Correctional Center
Mark Handlon was released on parole in September of 2014, was discharged and placed on parole. Mr. Handlon has an extensive criminal and incarceration history dating back to October 1978, including burglary, escape, forgery and miscellaneous theft charges.
