CIRCUMSTANCES
Douglas Nolan Ryan Watson and his wife were residing at 6320 Snowville Brent Road near West Jefferson, Alabama. The home is seated in a rural area and surrounded by woods.
It is alleged that Nolan was last seen at approximately 3:45 AM on Sunday, March 8th, 2020.
Nolan’s wife reported that on that date and time, Nolan was outside of their Snowville Brent Road home, smoking. This is the last time Nolan’s wife reportedly saw him. It is alleged that Nolan told his wife, “I’m leaving and if I’m not back in three minutes, come looking for me.”
It is unclear to us at this time why Nolan left home at that time or in which direction he may have been headed.
Many statements have been made about what items of Nolan’s were found, but at this time the information has not been confirmed by Law Enforcement:
When Nolan was last seen, he was wearing camouflage pants and heavy “coal miner” type boots
It is alleged that Nolan’s wife found his cigarettes, a flash light and his belt in a wooded area near their home. One of his miner gloves one was found near a neighboring house and the other glove was found close to his own home.
It is alleged that Nolan’s wife found his cell phone at the home, torn apart with the SIM card removed.
It has also been reported that his wallet was found in the yard. This has not been confirmed.
Nolan did not drive off in his own vehicle.
There are also indications that perhaps Nolan had suffered from addiction issues in the past and may have recently been under stressful situations which possibly triggered a relapse. This information is subjective at best and there are no confirmed reports that is what led to his disappearance.
However, even if this were the case, this is NOT a legitimate reason to dismiss the fact that he is missing, nor give up on the search in finding him. A person suffering with addiction issues is still a human being - a son, a brother, a friend, a dad - they are loved by their family and friends.
