NOTES ROTO

ROTO NOTES

Unfortunately, like many other cases, there isn’t a lot of information made public about Tiffany Perry. There isn’t much circulating in regards to her disapearance or what Law Enforcement may believe happened to her.

There are numerous cases involving missing persons who may have what some deem “risky lifestyles” and their disappearance is often overlooked. When a case mentions the missing person may have engaged in prostitution or utilized substances, it’s like they aren’t given any priority in being located. There is no shiny, perfect ribbon around their case and it isn’t major news. It’s as though they are seen as “likely dead” because of their lifestyle and the page is turned on their whereabouts.

I find this incredibly heartbreaking. Tiffany’s disappearance hits me in the guts for some reason.

These cases are not JUST cases. They are people that have been victimized - and most likely, the perpetrator has gotten away with murder.

We, at RoomOneTwentyOne are currently in the research process and may have more information to share with the public regarding Tiffany Perry. Once the information is confirmed, we will add to her story. In the meantime, PLEASE share Tiffany’s link or her flyer. You may be the missing spoke in the wheel of justice.

ROTO NOTES

Unfortunately, there isn’t much more information regarding Dana’s disappearance. Other than a few flyers from Law Enforcement and the typical missing person databases, not much is circulated about her online. The minimal media attention is what has drawn me to add her case here.

There are older posts from her family pleading for help from the public asking for anyone who may know something, to please come forward. I often wonder about the family in cases like this. How are they holding on when it seems they are the only ones that care what happened to their loved one? Then there is the media, the most powerful tool in bringing attention to a missing person, yet they are radio silent.

It seems that in a lot of these cases, if the individual may struggle with substance abuse or mental health issues, they fall by the wayside as if their current or previous lifestyle is to blame for their demise. It is no secret that in many instances certain lifestyles may increase the risk for danger, but it doesn’t ever mean they are deserving of the demise they may meet or that they lack importance.

Dana is a daughter, a sister, a mother, and likely now, a grandmother and I am certain she had a few close friends.

We will continue to research Dana’s case and add updates here as we can. In the meantime, please circulate her link. It’s been over 20 years and some witnesses may be long gone, but there is that chance that one person may know what happened to Dana and where she may be.

Janeth Ortiz Mercado Hispanic Female Missing From Arizona/Mexico Border Since April 2019

JANETH ORTIZ-MERCADO

IDENTIFIERS

  • Date of Birth: November 14th 1983

  • Missing Age: 35

  • Current Age: 36

  • Hispanic Female

  • 5 ft 7

  • Approx. 145lbs

  • Dark brown hair with highlights

  • Temporary crown/prosthetic top front tooth

  • Scar from C-Section

CLOTHING/ACCESSORIES

  • Camouflage Clothing

  • Camouflage baseball style cap

  • Black Saucony tennis shoes with pink soles, size 8

CIRCUMSTANCES

Janeth is a resident of Mexico, whose last contact with family was on April 26th, 2019 during a trip from Mexico to the United States .

  • On April 25th, 2019

At approx 11am Janeth called her mother, Belem and informed her that she was crossing the border and going to the United States. Janeth was accompanied by Felipa De Jesus Payan Beltran. Janeth stated that Felipa was paying for the trip.

  • On April 25th, 2019

At approx 4:49pm Janeth messaged Belem and told her she was going to turn off her phone in order to save the battery. Janeth told Belem that they were entering the desert on foot. Janeth sent video and photos of who was with her. A male alleged to be a coyote and related to Felipa, was accompanying Janeth and Felipa both across the border. An unidentified male was also with them.

  • Prior to this date, Janeth’s mother stated that she wasn’t aware that Janeth had plans to leave the country and had no reason to. Janeth had a job, a home and a vehicle and would never abruptly leave her family and her life behind.

  • On April 26th, 2019, Janeth attempted to send a family member a message saying, “we’re fine” but the message was never sent. This message was later discovered when Felipa had sent Janeth’s belongings back to her family several months later.

  • On May 2nd, 2019, Felipa contacted one of her own relatives and told them that Janeth got tired and the coyote had “gone to take her to immigration.” Felipa’s family member contacted Janeth’s family and relayed what Felipa had told them.

  • May 3rd, 2019 Janeth’s family made contact with a male who was alleged to be a coyote and asked about Janeth’s whereabouts. The male told Janeth’s family that Janeth got tired and had blisters on her feet. He then gave them the location where he left Janeth on May 1st, 2019. The male told Janeth’s family they left Janeth on State Route 86 between mile markers 104 and 110. The male individual confirmed that Felipa was there with him during the phone call. Felipa spoke with Janeth’s family and repeated the same information the male had stated. Felipa also told Janeth’s family, “not to worry a lot because they left Janeth food and water and she was two hours from the road.” Felipa also informed Janeth’s family that a helicopter had passed close by where Janeth was left. On this same date, Felipa tells the family that she has Janeth’s cell phone and ID.

  • May 2019

Janeth’s family contacts Angeles del Desierto, who form a wide radius search for Janeth in the area where the unidentified male and Felipa said Janeth was left. Angeles del Desierto was not able to find Janeth or any of her belongings.

  • June 2019

Angeles del Desierto made a second search for several days in a wide radius of the area where Janeth was alleged to be left. No remains or belongings of Janeth’s were ever found.

  • August 8, 2019

Feliapa’s family made a visit to Mexico and returned Janeth’s cell phone and ID. Janeth’s family notices that Janeth attempted to send a message on April 26th, 2019, thats said, “we’re fine” but the message was still in the outbox and unsent. Photos and video that Janeth had sent to her family on April 25th were still on the phone, as were messages exchanged between family and Janeth. All other information on the phone was cleared – call logs and all the photos Janeth had of herself that were stored on her phone were gone. Janeth’s facebook account was also removed from her phone.

  • When Janeth’s family asked Felipa why she had Janeth’s cell phone, Felipa said that Janeth gave her the cell before entering the desert because Janeth didn't have anywhere to put it. Janeth’s family believes that is a lie and that Janeth did have her cell because she had messaged her and was trying to text the family but the text never went out. Additionally, Janeth was wearing camo type cargo pants and would have pockets to carry her own cell phone and ID.

  • October 17, 2019:

Janeth’s family files a missing person report for Janeth in Mexico.

Janeth’s family contacted the Consulate when they were told someone took Janeth to immigration. The consulate informed the family that Janeth was NOT in immigration custody. The family continues to check for Janeth in the system and as of this date, she has not ever been listed.

  • There was an alleged sighting of Janeth in Phoenix with Felipa, but those reports have not been confirmed.

  • Felipa de Jesus Payan continues to deny having any knowledge of Janeth’s whereabouts.
